The laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia stipulate that the owner of the online store must notify the terms of delivery and return of goods, as well as the right of withdrawal. Such notification is called a distance contract.
The Seller of the goods offered in this Online Store – LLC RUFELIS, on the one hand, hereinafter referred to as the Seller, and the person placing the order, hereinafter referred to as the Buyer, on the other hand, enter into the following Agreement:
The Seller undertakes to sell and deliver the goods to the Buyer by the Buyer’s order.
The Buyer orders the goods through this website, indicating the type and quantity of goods to be ordered. The Buyer has the opportunity to pay for the product by paying the invoice prepared by the Seller and sent to the Buyer by e-mail (the invoice is prepared electronically and is valid without a signature) or using the payment tools built into the Internet store (payment with bank cards is currently not possible). Cash payments are not accepted.
Upon receipt of the order, the Seller verifies the availability of the product, delivery time, and notifies the Buyer.
The term of delivery of the goods depends on their availability in a Latvian or foreign warehouse. From warehouses in Latvia delivery time is from 1 to 3 working days. From foreign warehouses in Europe delivery time is usually from 5 to 20 working days.
For goods that are not in Seller’s stock and that must be specially ordered from a foreign warehouse, the Buyer must make a prepayment in the amount of 30 – 50% of the total value of the goods. The remaining amount of the invoice must be paid before the goods are sent to the Buyer. By canceling such an order the Buyer loses the prepaid amount.
The Seller shall ensure the delivery of the goods within 20 working days from the receipt of payment/prepayment for the goods, coordinating the delivery time with the Buyer. Due to production and carrier delays, delivery can take up to 60 days in some cases. If the goods are not delivered to the Buyer within this period, the Seller will return the prepaid amount upon the Buyer’s request.
Individual – the buyer – has the right to refuse the product within 14 calendar days from the moment of delivery or receipt of the Product (which occurred sooner) by sending a letter of refusal to the Seller. The Seller shall send the withdrawal letter form to the Buyer by e-mail upon the Buyer’s request.
The Buyer is obliged to deliver the goods to the Seller within 7 days after sending the letter of withdrawal. All expenses that will be incurred in connection with the return of the goods to the Seller shall be borne by the Buyer.
The buyer cannot exercise the right of withdrawal if:
the ordered goods cannot be returned according to their nature, or they are perishable or can be used quickly;
the ordered goods are procured from foreign warehouse or manufactured directly for the Buyer by individual order;
the buyer has used the goods more than just to inspect the goods, as would be possible in a store.
Section 12, Paragraph six of the Consumer Rights Protection Law of the Republic of Latvia stipulates that “the consumer is responsible for maintaining the quality and safety of the product during the period of exercising the right of withdrawal”. The Seller reserves the right to refuse the Buyer to exercise the right of withdrawal or to charge a compensation fee if the product is damaged by negligent handling of the product during use or without following the instructions if the original packaging of the product is lost or its packaging is significantly damaged.
By entering the necessary information when placing an order, the Buyer confirms that he has read and agrees that the data provided by him is used to enable the Seller to accept the Buyer’s order and deliver the goods under the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Latvia. By entering the information, the Buyer agrees that notifications related to the processing of the Buyer’s order will be sent to the specified e-mail.
